Why MKP 0:52:34
Mono potassium phosphate carries more than 80% total P2O5 and K2O. Because it has no nitrogen, you can feed phosphorus and potash at the stages where nitrogen should be held back: flowering, fruit set, ripening and the run-up to harvest.
- Leaf uptake through foliar spray is high, and the product is safe on leaves and fruit at recommended rates.
- The lowest salt index of any common fertilizer, so no leaf or root burn.
- Helps prevent premature ageing late in the season, when root uptake slows.
- Buffers the pH of the nutrient solution, and mixes easily in the tank.
Questions about MKP 0:52:34
Why use a fertilizer with no nitrogen?
At flowering and fruit set, extra nitrogen pushes leaf growth. MKP gives phosphorus and potash without it.
